LASER THERAPY CAN PROVIDE YOU CHRONIC PAIN RELIEF

Neuropathy

Neuropathy is a condition that many medical doctors struggle to effectively treat. Patients are told to expect their condition to progressively get worse and that there is no cure or long-term solution. Not exactly encouraging, is it?

Common symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy

  • Numbness, tingling, pricking sensations
  • Sharp shooting or jabbing pains
  • Sensitivity to touch
  • Muscle weakness
  • Burning pain, especially at night

Causes and Types of Neuropathy

There are more than 100 types of peripheral neuropathy, a condition that involves damage to the peripheral nervous system, which transmits information from the brain/spinal cord to all parts of the body. Some people experience temporary numbness, tingling, and pricking sensations, while others have burning pain, paralysis, or organ dysfunction. Causes include physical injury to a nerve, tumors, toxins, autoimmune responses, nutritional deficiencies, and alcoholism.

A peripheral nerve disorder caused by diabetes or poor blood sugar control, diabetic neuropathy, typically causes problems with sensation in the feet. Symptoms include numbness, pain, or tingling in the feet or lower legs. In some cases, diabetic neuropathy can be associated with difficulty walking and some weakness in the foot muscles. A loss of sensation in the feet may increase the possibility that foot injuries will go unnoticed and develop into ulcers or lesions that become infected.

Symptoms of hereditary neuropathies may be apparent at birth or appear in middle or late life. These may include sensory symptoms: numbness, tingling, and pain in the feet and hands; motor symptoms: weakness and loss of muscle bulk, particularly in the lower leg and feet; or autonomic symptoms: impaired sweating, postural hypotension, or insensitivity to pain. Some people may have foot deformities such as high arches and hammer toes, thin calf muscles, or scoliosis.

Our Treatment Approach is Different

Many doctors prescribe pain killers and antidepressants in an attempt to block the signals that cause numbness and pain. Often these medications don’t work or only provide partial relief, and they can become addictive.

Integrated Pain Solutions’ neuropathy treatment is 180 degrees different from the traditional approach. We use multiple tools to boost nerve signals, including ReBuilder therapy and High Intensity Laser Therapy, building and regenerating the nerve pathways to get them communicating again. When nerves are able to communicate properly, patients can find lasting symptom relief because we have addressed the underlying cause of the problem.
